On 12th May 2022, a meeting was organized between the Chairperson of Child Rights Commission, Maharashtra State Member Secretary, Shri.  Uday Jadhav (IAS), Shri.  Pramod Badigi, Legal Sec. Mrs. Madhavi Bhosale, Administrative Officer, Mrs. Kalpana Khambaint, the Probation Officer along with representatives of an NGO, Yuva Child Line.

The meeting was scheduled to discuss the issue of child abuse, and how the state machinery and the system should work for the victims and any complaint should be immediately registered. It was decided that increased awareness had to be created about the emergency helpline 1098 that helps children in need of care and protection and how state systems could be made more child friendly.

Child Officer of Yuva Sanstha, Mr. Vijay Kharat and Mumbai City Center Coordinator, Shri. Jitendra Chougule welcomed the chairperson and members of the Children’s Commission by giving them a copy of the constitution.
